چکیده
The cross sections of the isovector spin-dipole resonances (SDR) in Sb isotopes have been measured. Within model used, neutron-skin thicknesses rskin(exp) deduced 0.12±0.06 fm for 116Sn, 0.13±0.06 118Sn, 0.18±0.07 120Sn, 0.22±0.07 122Sn, 0.19±0.07 124Sn. We tested chiral (Kyushu) g-matrix folding 12C+12C scattering, and found that Kyushu is reliable reaction σR 30˜<Ein˜<100MeV 250˜<Ein˜<400MeV. determine neutron skin thickness rskin(exp), using measured 4He+116,120,224Sn scattering. results are rskin(exp)=0.242±0.140 rskin(exp)=0.377±0.140 rskin(exp)=0.180±0.142 available proton scattering on 116,118,120,122,124Sn with high accuracy 2∼3% as a function incident energy Ein. Normalization of neutron-proton differential cross sections
The np differential cross section below 350 MeV neutron laboratory energy is studied using the energy-dependent Nijmegen partial-wave analysis PWA93. We analyze in detail three experiments, performed at LAMPF, at TRIUMF, and at the TSL facility in Uppsala. The issue of normalization of np cross sections is discussed, where we distinguish between measured and calculated normalizations. This anal...
متن کاملAngle-dependent normalization of neutron-proton differential cross sections
Systematic errors in the database of np differential cross sections below 350 MeV are studied. By applying angle-dependent normalizations the χ-values of some seriously flawed data sets can be reduced significantly at the expense of a few degrees of freedom. The renormalized data sets can be made statistically acceptable such that they do not have to be discarded any longer in partialwave analy...
متن کاملDetermining neutron-capture cross sections via the surrogate reaction technique
Indirect methods play an important role in the determination of nuclear reaction cross sections that are hard to measure directly. In this paper we investigate the feasibility of using the so-called surrogate method to extract neutron-capture cross sections for low energy compound-nuclear reactions in spherical and near-spherical nuclei. We present the surrogate method and develop a statistical...
متن کاملMeasurement of neutron inelastic scattering cross sections for 52Cr from threshold up to 18 MeV.
The powerful white neutron spectrum from Gelina is used for the investigation of gamma ray production cross sections in the reaction 52Cr(n,n'gamma)52Cr. The gamma rays from the inelastic process are detected with two large volume HPGe detectors placed at 110 degrees and 150 degrees with respect to the beam direction. The neutron flux has been measured with a 235U fission chamber. For the main ...
متن کاملPredicting total reaction cross sections for nucleon-nucleus scattering.
Nucleon total reaction and neutron total cross sections to 300 MeV for 12C and 208Pb, and for 65 MeV scattering spanning the mass range, are predicted using coordinate space optical potentials formed by full folding of effective nucleon-nucleon interactions with realistic nuclear ground state densities. Good to excellent agreement is found with existing data.
